With a background in women's fashion wear buying for a major high street retail brand, Kate began designing and making jewellery.
After attending a course given to her as
a Christmas present by her husband - he hoped he could curb at
least part of her shopping addiction if she could make the accessories
herself! Immediately hooked on this great way of creating individual
pieces (to go with every outfit!) Kate began designing jewellery
for family and friends and, as demand grew, 'Lilyella' was born.
Working from her workshop at her North London home, all of the
jewellery is handmade by Kate using a mixture of beads (glass
and plastic), sterling silver, charms and materials sourced from
charity shops. Where charity shop materials have been used the
pieces have a truly vintage feel to them, they are unique and
cannot be re-created - you will not see anyone else wearing them.
Making them perfect for gifts or a treat for yourself.
Kate can create bespoke pieces just for you. Simply contact her and she can go over all of the details with you. Equally if you see something on the website that you like but would prefer different colours, length or a slightly different style let her know and she can tailor the piece to meet you needs. If an item you like does not appear in the shop, please contact Kate and she can advise if it is available.
